‘tree-in-bud’: a linear branching pattern of spread of tumors into other areas

*
the trees are light:
a physical disturbance
a whirling of mirrors

here in the now
and everything is motion –
sycamore, alder

crowding together
in flickering leaflights
in ferocious whispering.
